When I Feel Spiritually STUCK

By: Yisroel Yitzchok Rosenfeld

Different people need different paths to get moving again.

S – SERVE ANYONE

  • Send someone an encouraging message.
  • Call someone who is lonely.
  • Do a small, unexpected act of kindness.
  • Help someone without being asked.
  • Pray for the needs of others.
  • Give anonymously to a worthy cause.

T – TALK TO HASHEM

  • Set aside 10 minutes for an honest conversation with Hashem.
  • Say a short prayer immediately instead of putting it off.
  • Tell Hashem openly about your frustrations.
  • Thank Him for three things.
  • Ask Him a genuine question.
  • Sit quietly for a moment and listen.

A – ACT ANYWAY

  • Read for five minutes in an inspiring book.
  • Read a passage from a sacred text.
  • Say a verse or prayer out loud.
  • Do something, even if you do not yet have the perfect solution.
  • Start before you feel ready.
  • Choose action over waiting.

G – GET CURIOUS

  • Learn something new.
  • Ask a difficult question and reflect on it.
  • Explore a new explanation or interpretation.
  • Listen to a different perspective.
  • Study a topic that fascinates you.
  • Learn more about another person’s life story.

N – NOTICE THE GOOD

  • Write down three things you are grateful for.
  • Reflect on the positive moments of your day.
  • Pay attention to one beautiful moment.
  • Thank someone who helped you grow.
  • Celebrate your effort, not only your results.
  • Notice the small signs of meaning and beauty in everyday life.

A – ACCEPT WHO YOU ARE

  • Stop comparing yourself to others.
  • Be honest about how you are really feeling.
  • Let go of perfectionism.
  • Remember that growth happens in stages.
  • Forgive yourself for setbacks.
  • Begin again without guilt.

N – NEW PERSPECTIVE

  • View the challenge as an opportunity to learn.
  • Ask yourself:
“What can I learn from this?”
  • Read the story of someone who overcame difficulties.
  • See obstacles as training.
  • Look for hidden opportunities.
  • Consider what advice you would give a friend in the same situation.

T – TAKE A SMALL STEP

  • Choose one tiny task and complete it today.
  • Take the next step, not the entire journey all at once.
  • Focus on consistency rather than perfection.
  • Take action, even (or especially) when it is imperfect.
  • Rebuild momentum through small steps.
  • End the day with a deliberate act of growth.

In Conclusion

The soul does not become stuck because it stopped moving.

It becomes stuck because it forgot where it was going.

Remember!

Every small act of connection sets it in motion again.
